In a completely “App” crazy world it’s hard to remember what each App is used for on a smart phone device. Some Apps have names that immediately allow the user to understand what they are used for, while others are more illusive.
Here is a guide to some of the most commonly used business Apps and games Apps for the business person who needs to “get the job done” as well as blow off some steam in between.
Business Apps
The following Apps are business related and will help the user accomplish everything from tracking shipments to keeping up to date with client contact information. It's encouraged that the user take the time to familiarize themselves with these applications so that they may get the most out of it during practical use.
- Linkedin: This App is used by professionals to network amongst various industries. Think of Linkedin as replacing the business card of the 20th century.
- Proongo: If traveling for business, this App allows the user to keep track of travel expenses and receipts and then email the report to the appropriate party so that they may be properly repaid.
- Fed-Ex Mobile: If inventory is something that a business needs to keep a close eye on, installing the Fed-Ex Mobile App will allow them to keep tabs on shipments all over the world.
- Salesforce Mobile: When it comes to tracking down, finding and utilizing sales leads, Salesforce Mobile is a one stop shop to monitor these accounts.
- Documents to Go: Writing, downloading and working in different programs so that everything is compatible can be a tricky proposition. This App allows the user to create and edit documents in a variety of programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and more.

Game Apps for Business People

- Roller Coaster Rush: The local amusement park may have long lines and high admission prices, but this App allows the user to navigate a cart through the loops and drops of a virtual roller coaster.
- F.A.S.T.: This daring App allows the user to fight the enemy by engaging in aerial combat while trying to complete a very important mission using a fighter jet.
- Enigmo: Enigmo allows the user to move through water mazes on their smart phone. They navigate through the mazes by pinching, dragging, dropping and sliding along the smart phone screen.
Additional game Apps can be downloaded from the "store" or "shopping" section of the PDA or Smart Phone device. It should also be noted that many games allow the user to try them before having to purchase the entire game. This will allow the user to determine if they like the game before comitting to the purchase of it.
